online voting system

hello everybody. i m a resident of india...who normally change places after every 2-3 years. and u know when i feel most pissed off due to this change in places. well i will tell......it is during the election times..coz my voter card was made at my native place when i was doing my grads. and coz of me being at my workplace for the whole day i am not able to register myself at my new place of voting(which is the most important duty of citizen of india, in my view). So, when i was unable to vote this time too, suddenly a new thought process started in my mind. and as all of us know that "necessity is the mother of invention"....i came up with this idea of online voting system.....i have a framework for it in my mind...and i want to share it with u all.......so that there can be some steps in this direction......and next time onwards i can happily vote in the elections.....

So my plan goes like this: we should have some special centres for voting at each place. and at these centres, there will be n no. of terminals placed to cast a vote.....every citizen has to login.....there will be a homepage on which u hv to enter ur state id (id of the state where ur voter id card is made and u r registered to vote)....after this another login page will come in front of the user....there u hv to enter ur voter id number, password and there will be retina detection......so that the user can be authenticated .... after this the voting page will come......and users hv to cast their vote.......

if this system is followed...there will be many benefits:

1. bogus voting will be less.

2. there will be less manipulation at the time of voting

3. most importantly, only one central holiday will be needed to conduct the elections....so there will be negligble loss of business and work...

4. the counting will be done in the computers and the results can be announced the same day.

5. less of paper will be wasted...that means more trees will be there!!!!!!

so this was my idea...............i'll be glad if i see such a system in the next elections!!!!!!!
